This article tries to illustrate the way Psychology is concerned with the differences in gender related to facial expressions, in general, and smile, in particular. Besides muscle shape, smile is identified and understood as a sign of emotional expression. Therefore, in the context of emotional language, we focus on the most relevant aspects of the differences in gender of the smile. Research proves that women smile more than men. However, the theoretical explanations are not very clear.
