PSYCHOLOGICAL VARIATIONS ABOUT LOVE
- Detalhes
This paper consists of three parts. First, a brief overview is provided of current theoretical perspectives in social psychology about on love. Next a specific theory about love colours is described, and empirical findings are summarised. Finally, it is examined the influence of culture on love. Particularly, it is showed to what extent Lee’s six-factor "colours of love" model was able to account for data gathered across a large number of countries, from Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe and using Hendrick and Hendrick (1986) Love Attitudes Scale. It was shown that cross-cultural variations concerning attitudes to love were much stronger than gender differences.
