A LOOK AT THE NEW MODEL OF EVALUATIONIN BASIC SCHOOL

Abstract: With this work we hope to know and analyse teachers' attitudes towards the most significant aspects of the Normatives 98-A/92 of 20 of June and 644-A/94 of 15 of September, that guide the reform of the evaluation system at the level of the Basic School. In order to achieve these goals, we have conducted an empirical research which consisted in the construction of a preliminary attitudes' scale of Likert and in its administration to a sample of 107 teachers of the 2nd and 3rd cicles of basic schools in the region of Coimbra. According to the results we have obtained during this exploratory work, the new model of evaluation is not being practiced/implemented in basic schools.
